Launched in 1932, the iconic design of the Calatrava reflects the minimalist Bauhaus principle (function determines the form of an object). Since then, it has been repeatedly reinterpreted in numerous versions, including the legendary Ref. 3919, which was produced for more than 20 years. The new Ref. 6119 (the number pays tribute to the Ref. 3919 from 1985 and its successor, the Ref. 5119 from 2006) distinguishes itself mainly with a slightly larger diameter, reworked strap lugs and a dial with applied hour markers inspired from the first Calatrava (Ref. 96) from 1932.
